BET will mark the end of an era on Saturday, November 8 when it airs
the final episode of “Rap City.” The show marks the end of
the series’ nearly 20 year run.
For
the grand finale, the network brings together “Rap City”
host past and present such as Joe Clair, Big Lez, Big Tigger, Mad Linx,
J-Nicks and recent host DJ Q-45. The show’s first host, Chris
Thomas aka “The Mayor” also returned to the set to help bid
farewell to the show.
The hour-long special
will take a look at some of the show’s most memorable moments.
Soulja Boy, Busta Rhymes, Young Jeezy, Fabolous, Talib Kweli and
Ludacris stop through to help say good-bye. Meanwhile, Yo-Yo, Lady of
Rage and MC Lyte also paid a visit to share their favorite “Rap
City” moments.
In October, BET
Networks announced that “Rap City” would be replaced with
new show, “The Deal,” which is set to debut on Monday,
November 10 at 5 p.m. (ET). –ivory m. jones
