If you’re a fan of RPGs, the name Peter Molyneux is probably familiar
to you. His earlier work on games such as Populous and Black and White
quickly started a buzz among hard-core RPG gamers.
In
my opinion though, none of those games were as engaging as Fable. The
game offers an open environment in which players roam around and find
adventures while making choices that determine story lines.
Personally,
I played through Fable four times, twice as a good character and twice
as an evil character. Now, with the release of Fable 2, I may never get
my life back. The world of Albion is 10 times larger than in the
original Fable. The new fighting is simple, but flows nicely with the
game.
Fable has never really been about combat though, it’s more about
interaction and the choices you have your character make. As with the
original Fable there’s always interesting stuff to interact with –
talking statues and hidden treasure chests are just a few. You also get
to train your own pet dog as your companion and fighting partner.
As
expected, Fable 2 has a ton of upgrades to play around with, from
weaponry to all kinds of accessories. You even get to deal with land
ownership, divorce, babies and condoms. The scope of this game is
simply mind-boggling. If you’re into RPGs, you have to check out Fable
2. Fans of the original Fable really don’t have a choice, Fable 2 is a
