In the TV show “Hope and Faith,” Ripa is Faith the flighty soap actress sister of to Hope(Faith Ford), a domesticated wife and mother of three. The show depicts the often contentious relationship between the two. The show’s humor stands out for a sitcom about a family of white middle-class Americans because it is exceptionally humorless and the jokes are especially stale, trite and ho-hum. Maybe the formula hasn’t got much life left in it. The DVD comes with a blooper reel, audio commentaries and interviews with the cast and crew.
