The Black Eyed Peas are back with another bubbly rendition of pop-infused tunes with an underlying social undertone. Unlike most groups who have members that branch out and achieve mega-success, singer Fergie and master-producer, will.i.am were able to reunite and meld their sounds together to create a cohesive project. “Now Generation” subtly shoots the bird at the digital takeover and fast pace of society, while “Electric City” is a synth-heavy ditty led by Fergie’s dancehall-esque vocals. Standouts included the techno-infused “Missing You” and “Ring-A-Ling.” You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to get why BEP continues to win, time and time again.
