“Every business gets down to the people,” says Loudermilk, who has been with Aaron’s for 24 years. “Obviously, we have a lot of very good people who are seasoned and like what they’re doing.”
Although he’s only held the position of CEO for six months (he’s been president for the past six years), he’s already scored a major coup for the company. Recently, Atlanta’s Lakewood Amphitheater was renamed Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood, underscoring the company’s prominent standing in the community.
“It’s not just about the venue, but about what the venue will bring to this area,” Loudermilk says of the recent partnership.
Loudermilk says Aaron’s commitment to everyday people has helped it be successful, citing the company’s community outreach through its philanthropic program, ACORP, and its equitable business practices.
“We offer an option for people that are cash and credit constrained, that don’t have the ability to buy say, a TV, for cash and don’t have the credit capacity to purchase it on credit,” he explains. “We offer a non-credit-based monthly pay transaction, and it’s an extremely fair deal.”
At the end of the day, that’s the aspect of his position that he treasures most.
“We offer options for a whole segment of the population to have access to products that they normally wouldn’t,” Loudermilk says. “It’s satisfying making dreams come true.” –jh
