Confessions of a Health Addict: Take 6
Take a Leap of Faith
There are times when you have to get honest about the state of your personal affairs. These affairs may vary, but when you’re ready to move to the next level, you must decide if certain things are adding to your life, or simply detracting from it. The key to growing, moving or getting on track for your destiny rests in your ability to know that you’re worthy of achieving your goals. Support this by eliminating anything that takes you in a different direction. Now this is more easily said than done, as it’s often hard to be honest about what things are no longer serving you physically, mentally or spiritually. If this is the case, it may be necessary to focus your body, mind and spirit on being more attuned with the things surrounding you.
1. Body: Cleanse your body to eliminate harmful toxins. Start by increasing your daily intake of distilled water. Eat a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables. If necessary, after consulting a health professional, consider fasting.
2. Mind: Clear your mind by disconnecting from the many things that cloud your thoughts. That may mean turning off the television, cell phone and radio for a few hours … or days. Take long walks through the park. Talk much less, and listen more intently to what’s inside of you. Disconnect from everything, so you can connect with yourself.
3. Spirit: Know that it’s OK to honor yourself and meditate for the answers to pressing issues. Take time each day to do breathing exercises that’ll connect you to the universe and your purpose.
Once you’ve determined what’s hindering you, it may be necessary to change your course and take a leap of faith. Be patient with yourself and know that you’re worth that change. You’re being guided and the universe wants you to live the life you dream of. Just take a leap and be thankful. –kim yokely
