Is Usher Still a Good Father Figure?
Yes, he recently filed for divorce from his wife of two years, Tameka Foster, but what does the split say about Usher’s parenting skills? Well, nothing.
The father of two, 18-month-old Usher Raymond V and 6-month-old Naviyd Ely Raymond, is firmly committed to being a father, as he recently shared with rolling out.
“Fathers try to give back to your children, no matter how hard it is,” he advised.
No doubt, with the divorce looming over their heads, the custody of Usher’s two children will come into play, but it’s pretty reasonable to believe that the crooner will remain an active part of his young ones’ lives.
He’s already demonstrated his desire to give back to the kids with his 10-year-old New Look Foundation, which focuses on helping kids through the arts and education, as well as his recent extensive involvement in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It’s not a stretch to believe that his commitment goes double for his own seeds.
“You have to give back to [your] kids,” he says.
