Everyone can rest easy now; it’s back. The sequel to the 2007 summer smash Transformers is finally set for release, and this time the Autobots and Decepticons are twice as cool. Few knew if director Michael Bay could surpass the brilliance of the first film, but the mercurial director had to surprise even himself with his work on this one. The humanity added to the robots is striking, and the performances turned in by Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox reflect favorably on Bay’s work. Great movie. –dewayne rogers
