Who knew? Lil Wayne, the jailed Young Money CEO, is an avid tennis fan. So much so till he took time out, while incarcerated, to pen his predictions for the 2010 U.S. Open currently in progress in New York. He wrote his thoughts as part of his Sports Illustrated blog — on official SI letterhead.
It appears he loves the Williams sisters, but Serena is injured and he isn’t that confident that Venus can get it done over last year’s winner, Kim Clijsters on the women’s side. Also, he seems to have considerable admiration for the current men’s No. 1, Rafael Nadal, and predicts he will take home the crown.
His own unsuccessful attempt at playing the sport led to his fascination with it: “I enjoy the sport so much because when I actually tried to play, it was unbelievable difficult,” he wrote.
