An interesting thing happened during Labor Day weekend. I was out with a few friends having dinner and drinks at one of the more popular hangout spots in the city. As I was standing at the bar waiting for my order to be filled, I couldn’t help but overhear the conversation next to me.
“Hey beautiful, I want to talk to you but it’s too loud in here … maybe we should exchange information.” The gentleman flashed a big smile at the mocha-skinned goddess, and awaited her response. After she took a few moments to size him up, she offered up a weak smile and replied, “That’s nice, but no thank you.”
As she turned away from him, our eyes met, and she immediately offered up the following, “Hey, I really like your watch.” (Thank God, I have great taste in watches.)
This scenario plays out more often than one might think. While men don’t have as many avenues as women to express our fashion fortitude, watches have always served as a great way for us to make bold statements. That’s why we’re taking a look at the following three watches. Not only are they certified fly, but they also make for great conversation pieces with the opposite sex. Check these out. –djr
