T.I. Parties in the ATL Days After Being Arrested; Why the D.A. Could Hold That Against Him

Days after being arrested for alleged drug possession, T.I. made his first public appearance at Club Ritz nightclub in Atlanta. T.I. greeted fans and even hit the stage to perform “Motivation” which includes the line, “Whatever don’t kill me makes me stronger.”

But his handlers should have advised him against an appearance at Club Ritz less than 72 hours after police in Los Angeles allegedly found ecstasy pills on him and his wife Tiny. A convicted felon, T.I. could face years in prison for parole violation.

Unlike his prior conviction in 2008, the district attorney may not be as tolerant of his mishap this time around. T.I. must now present himself in the best way possible. His handlers should have made sure that his first public appearance was at a church, school or community event. Club Ritz should have not been on his agenda because the D.A. may view the timing of his nightclub appearance as an irresponsible act.

Although T.I. has done a tremendous job of giving back, especially to young people, he continues to get in his own way when it comes to leaving his past in the past. a.r.
