The-Dream and Christina Milian have been in a heated battle with each other over their divorce settlement and apparently the man — or rather, boy — holding up the settlement is none other than Justin Bieber and his hit song, “Baby.”
According to TMZ, documents filed in Georgia show that The-Dream originally agreed to give Milian a hefty payout including 10 percent of his publishing interest in Bieber’s 2010 hit, “Baby,” a song The-Dream co-wrote.
Now Milian wants to renegotiate for more money, including a greater percentage of the “Baby” publishing, and The-Dream isn’t having it. Instead, the singer-songwriter is trying to stop all payments to Milian in the divorce settlement.
However, Milian’s lawyer responded to the claims with a statement asserting that Milian is not trying to renegotiate the divorce settlement; she’s simply trying to get what was originally promised to her by The-Dream.
“Mr. Nash filed for divorce. He wanted the divorce, not our client. She then agreed to resolve it peacefully and outside of the court. Now his lawyer is writing me saying there’s no agreement, when we 100 percent made an agreement on the record,” said Milian’s lawyer.
