The ninth annual Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase rocked the Georgia Dome the weekend before the Super Bowl. Eight HBCU bands from around the nation hit the field to represent their school with funky tunes, high-stepping precision drills and high-energy dance routines. Despite each band program aiming to become Kings and Queens of the field, there are no adjudicators that choose overall winners, which sparks debate among musicians and band fans for months.
