It can be difficult for women to understand men at times. But saying the right words can go a long way when it comes to relationships. Here are five things that a woman should never say to a man. –amir shaw
5) “Can We Talk?” (During any important sporting event)
Most men are simple when it comes to escapism. Eating chicken wings and watching a good sporting event is like a mini vacation for us. The game allows us to shut out all of our troubles and concerns in life for two or three hours. So when the game is on, understand that your man’s brain is out of touch with reality. Don’t take his lack of attention personally because he probably really loves you. But unless there is a medical emergency, leave him alone until the final buzzer sounds.
4) “Does she look better than me?”
Similar to a man asking a woman how many sexual partners she has had, there is no right answer to this question. It’s a sign of insecurity. If he says that she looks better than you, the insecurities will increase and you’ll get mad. If he says that you look better, you’re going to think he’s lying and you’ll get mad. Know that your man will be physically attracted to most women. But be confident that he’s with you for good reasons that extend beyond physical attraction.
3) “I like us better as friends.”
Although it appears to be a politically correct way to let a man down, it happens to be one of the most harsh phrases that any man can hear from a woman. It destroys a man’s ego because it creates distance and puts him in a position to be as nonthreatening as a puppy. It’s better to be honest and tell a man that you don’t like him. He’ll respect you for dissing him as if he is built to take it like a man.
2) “You remind me of my ex.”
We all use previous relationships as a reference at times. But a woman should never compare her man to a guy that she dated in the past. Every man wants to believe that he is the best thing that ever happened to his woman and that no one else comes close. By comparing your man to an ex-boyfriend, you are associating him with failure because there is a reason you two broke up in the first place.
1) “He’s my best friend.”
Men know how other men become best friends with females. They are the guys who tried to get with a woman unsuccessfully and eventually became the nonthreatening puppies. But instead of continuing to be straightforward with their desires, these guys gain a woman’s trust by going shopping with her, watching “Sex and the City” marathons and listening to the problems she’s having with her real man. If an opportunity presents itself, the best friend would engage in an intimate relationship without thinking twice about it. So if you’re serious about developing a successful relationship, understand that your boyfriend, fiancé or husband is the only male best friend that you can have.
