Antoine Dodson, star of the famous “Bed Intruder Song” viral video, shot to fame last year with his wild comments about a lawbreaking intruder. But now Dodson himself is in trouble with the law after being arrested early April 23 for possession of marijuana.
According to tmz.com, Dodson was arrested around 2:30 a.m. in his hometown of Huntsville, Ala., on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana but was released from jail a short time later.
Dodson was also charged with other misdemeanors including speeding, failing to appear twice on a traffic charge and failing to have liability insurance.
Dodson originally gained national attention last year during a local news broadcast when he famously coined the term “Hide ya kids, hide ya wives” while commenting on an attempted sexual assault on his sister, Kelly, by an intruder. Overnight, Dodson’s comments made their way across the media and blogosphere and inspired the “Bed Intruder Song” from the Gregory Brothers, which became an iTunes hit.
After making guest appearances on the “Today” show and the “BET Hip-Hop Awards,” it was reported earlier this year that Dodson is set to star in a pilot for his own reality show about his family’s move from Huntsville to Los Angeles.
