Tools You’ll Need:
Epsom Salt
Pumice Stone or foot scrub
Towel
Moisturizer
Nail File
Buffer Block
Nail Clippers
Cuticle Oil
Base and top coat
Your favorite polish
Step 1
Soak your feet in an Epsom salt-infused bath of warm water for five minutes. You can even purchase a mini tub from a beauty supply store if you choose not to use your tub.
Step 2
Using a pumice stone or foot scrub, exfoliate in a circular motion, paying special attention to heels and the bottoms of your feet and rinse well; pat dry with a towel.
Step 3
Apply moisturizer and cuticle cream. For added relief, massage the arches of your feet by working your thumbs in with firm pressure, then gently push cuticles back with an orange stick.
Step 4
Clip and file each toenail into a square-oval shape; buff the tops of each nail to ensure a smooth surface for the polish.
Step 5
Swipe a pure acetone-soaked cotton swab over each toenail to remove excess oil and moisture.
Step 6
Apply a thin coat of clear base polish, and let dry.
Step 7
Apply 2 coats of colored lacquer, waiting two minutes in between each coat.
Step 8
Finish with a top coat, and let dry for at least an hour before wearing your favorite sandals.
