Since starting up a romance with “it-girl” model Amber Rose, Wiz Khalifa has faced harsh tabloid scrutiny and speculation concerning their relationship, the most recent being the rumor that Khalifa confronted Rose’s famous ex-boyfriend, Kanye West, at this year’s Coachella following some subliminal disses toward Rose from West. But Khalifa is now setting the record straight, assuring that he never confronted West and that the two are not feuding.
In a recent interview with MTV News at the 2011 Bamboozle Festival, the Pittsburgh, Pa., rapper explained that the rumors are simply a fabricated attempt to stir up drama between the two rappers.
“I did my set, and we hung around for a bit, but we weren’t even there when fam was onstage,” Khalifa said. “Somebody made that up. I think they just wanted it to be that type of situation, or they wanted to see something go down. It’s fun to talk about it and make jokes about, but, in all reality, that didn’t even exist.”
Although Khalifa heard West’s disses against Rose, he explains that he took none of it to heart and that he plans to keep things copacetic between him and the “All of The Lights” rapper.
“It is what it is, and I’m doing my business, and she’s doing her business, and he’s doing his business, and that’s what it is. I’m all about positivity, and I’m going to keep it that way,” said Khalifa.
