On Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2011, in Norcross, Ga., I attended a sneak peek of the third season of TNT’s “HawthoRNe,” starring Jada Pinkett Smith. It was held at one of the top Dominican salons in the Atlanta metro area, Lilly’s Hair Plus and was hosted by my friend, Isadora Brown, who greeted clients in English and Spanish and told them about the show. If you were a nurse, you got a special discount on your hair service since Smith plays a nurse in the medical drama.
When I first moved to Atlanta, Lilly’s was the first salon where I got my hair done. They do an awesome job! They’ve expanded so much and have added so many other services like the nail spa. Ladies were leaving looking fabulous with their new hairdos and manicured nails.
Guests enjoyed food, drinks, giveaways, trivia questions and more at the event. Many of the women there had heard of the show and love that Marc Anthony, J Lo’s husband, appears on the series.
We got to see a clip of the new season and, boy, will it be full of romantic drama! Jada Pinkett Smith plays Christina, and she is headed down the aisle with Tom, but there are some misfortunes that occur that test their love. Anthony returns as detective Nick Renata and actor Derek Luke stars as the sexy, new doctor. It’s going to be a great season as things heat up! The new season of “HawthoRNe” premieres Tuesday, June 14, 2011, on TNT at 10/9c. Thanks to 135th Agency for the invitation.
