In the world of entertainment, it’s not uncommon for celebrated stars to indulge their penchants for marijuana. And while celebrities like Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg have long professed their attachment for the potent herb, Justin Timberlake has now joined the green bandwagon, revealing that he’s an avid marijuana user.
In the latest issue of Playboy, the blue-eyed R&B singer was asked if he smokes weed, prompting the blue-eyed R&B singer to reply, “Absolutely,” before spilling details about his thoughts on the drug.
“The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking. Sometimes, I have a brain that needs to be turned off,” added Timberlake. “Some people are just better high.”
And while the burgeoning actor, who’s starring in the upcoming comedy, Bad Teacher, alongside Cameron Diaz, has been M.I.A. from the music scene since 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds, Timberlake shares that fans shouldn’t get their hopes up for a a new album any time soon.
“I don’t have a single song ready to go,” he says. “People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don’t know what to say. Music is not my focus right now. It may be someday. It could happen next month or next year, but right now it’s not where it’s at for me.”
We’re sure that fans are happy to see Timberlake lighting up the silver screen, but hopefully he won’t let his once important music dream go up in smoke. –nicholas robinson
