AMG Set to Dominate Houston's Hip-Hop Scene

Houston’s newest it-click Authentik Music Group (AMG) is dominating the city’s hip-hop music scene with their hot new music, fire collaborations and constant radio play. After coining the slogan “OMG, it’s AMG,” it rang instantaneously in the streets and a catchy promo campaign began. The artists that comprise the group include Houston hip-hop vet Killa Kyleon, New Houston’s Marcus Manchild, Louisiana native Bulu, KT, and first lady Chris Elizabeth. AMG hopes to contribute to the Houston hip-hop revival by bringing back solid and relatable music.

How did the original idea behind AMG get started?

We all had different ears for music, so we each recruited artists that we felt had the potential to make AMG an international brand.

How did you all choose the artists, and what was so special about them?

Each of our artists have their own unique sound and superstar potential. Our primary goal is to spread our music throughout the market. We have excellent talent and great management.

AMG always is working on a new project. Explain the work ethic behind your team.

Everyone in AMG has a job. As long as everyone does that specific task, we will continue to succeed. Having a team allows us to multitask on different projects. Our work ethic is driven by our desire to win at anything we do. Whether it’s being the best looking or having the best promo, videos or album art, we strive to be the best.

What collaborations have you all done thus far?

We have collaborated with some of the best in the game such as Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Scarface, The Game, Soulja Boy, Yo Gotti, Devin The Dude, Slim Thug, Z-Ro, Big K.R.I.T., Gudda Gudda, Short Dawg, Curren$y and many more.

What can we expect from AMG in the coming year?

This will be a huge year for AMG. That sounds cliché, but we have some major situations brewing on our end. Expect to see and hear an abundance of music and videos. Also our signature AMG shirts will be available at SF2 clothing stores and we are in the process of launching a clothing line.

What do you all hope to offer to the music community through your artists, music or message?

We hope to supply the community with music they can relate to as well as dance to. We want the world to know that Houston has more to offer than what the city has become known for. Houston could very well become the next hip-hop capital, and we just want to be a part of that.
