Affion Crockett is a comedic genius when it comes to impersonating popular celebrities, including President Barack Obama and hip-hop mogul Jay-z. His new sketch comedy show, titled ‘In The Flow’, premieres this Sunday, August 14 on FOX. Jamie Foxx is the show’s executive producer and weekly special guests will be featured – including Snoop Dogg, Russell Simmons and Chris Brown.
Affion released a YouTube spoof this past week to promote the show called, ‘In The FLOW’. The video features Affion’s hilariously perfect impersonations of Kanye, Lil Wayne, Cory Gunz and Jay-z with his co-hort Damaine Radcliff impersonating Freeway. Affion says Jay-Z is his favorite person to impersonate:
The one I get requested the most is Jay-Z. I can really sound and look like him. You’ve got to make your mouth poke out a little bit, do the laugh a little bit. So Jay is one of the most natural ones.
There’s no doubt that Affion is a funny guy. Hopefully his new show will be capable of filling the void Dave Chappelle left behind. Will you be watching?
