Runway models, fashion, and a cause … oh my! Dream Kids Hair Care in conjunction with Macy’s presented the third annual Runway Red charity fashion gala for Show Me The Way Foundation on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at the Fernbank Museum.
A slew of pint-sized socialites and mini-me movers and shakers walked the runway while their well-know celebrity parental escorts viewed exclusive back to school collections from Macy’s and high-end fashion designers from around the world.
“Good Day” Atlanta’s Mark Hayes hosted the show with over 600 guests who came to support the Show Me The Way Foundation and assist the organization with raising critical funding for children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
“Dream Kids is truly excited to partner with the 2011 Runway Red celebrity kids fashion show. As a brand we believe strongly in the mission of the Show Me The Way Foundation and that every child, no matter the adversity they face in life, has the right to dream,” said Charlene Bastien, National Marketing Director of Strength of Nature Global, LLC.
These little supermodels in training, worked every inch of the green carpet runway, which was based on an Alice in Wonderland theme. A fantasy setting of whimsical trees and vibrant garden plants, colorful flowers added the final touch and set the tone of the show.
African Pride Dream Kids Hair Care, a proud sponsor of Runway Red, also announced the launch of the highly anticipated Olive Miracle formula hair care collection. The newly developed formula will help parents start their children’s manes on the right path to healthy tresses, and can be found in Walmart and other beauty product outlets.
Celebrity appearances included Tameka Raymond Foster, Shawty Lo, Nivea, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Dondria, Cynthia Bailey, The Sh’Boss Boys, Q Parker, The OMG Girlz and many more. Check out photos from the event below of the adorable Dream Kids models and famous family photos. —mckenzie harris
