Controversial emcees 50 Cent and Lil’ Kim have always had a hot and fiery relationship, whether it be them laying down racy verses together or feuding with each other over wax. Now, amidst rumors of a new major label deal for Kim and 50 Cent possibly signing the Queen Bee to his G-Unit label, the two recently heated things up onstage in Australia for a performance of their hit song, “Magic Stick.”
According to The Boombox, 50 Cent was the headlining act on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the WinterBeatz Festival in the capital city of Perth. While performing, the G-Unit general brought out surprise guest Lil’ Kim to perform their sexually charged 2003 single, “Magic Stick,” off her La Bella Mafia album.
Dressed in a revealing, all-black getup (“like the omen”), Kimmy Blanco worked the Aussie crowd and 50 Cent as she continually got up close and personal with the rapper (and his “magic stick”) and shook her rump for the crowd.
Never one to be left out the theatrics, 50 Cent got in on the action at the end of the performance, making sexual gestures with his microphone and grinning euphorically as Kim and the audience laughed and applauded.
Strangely enough, according to Miss Info, this was the first time that the dynamic duo had ever performed the song together.
While 50 Cent’s upcoming album is still presumably languishing in limbo due to trouble with his label, Kim is currently at work on as-yet-untitled comeback LP.
We must admit, after watching their performance together, perhaps Kim would make a good fit as the first lady of G-Unit. – nicholas robinson
