Fashion designer b michael presented his “b michael America Spring 2012 Collection” at the height of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the American Museum of Natural History.
The models looked as if they were walking on sunshine. They were dressed in amazing yellows, greens and oranges. The designer continues to create timeless pieces that are chic and elegant.
The front row sparkled with legendary stars: actresses Cicely Tyson, Dina Merrill, Phylicia Rashad and Tamara Tunie as well as philanthropist Myrna Colley-Lee, Desiree Rogers, Gregory Generet, Richard Mayhew, Will and Anthony Nunziata, Melba Moore, Alva Chinn, Kathryn Chenault, and finance expert Jean Chatzky.
This year’s charity of note was the New York City Mission Society, an organization that has supported children and families for over 198 years — encouraging resiliency in the face of many changes, self-confidence and the ability to make positive life choices. Their core values include respect for every person served, encouraging youth to explore their individuality in a safe and nurturing environment, and seeing possibilities where others see limitations.
