With so much attention being paid to the alleged scandalous behavior of the Beebs, not much has been said about the fact that he would have been 16 when the dastardly deed took place, and in California, where Mariah Yeater claims the post-concert hook-up happened, a 16-year-old is legally unable to consent to sex.
The woman claiming to be his baby’s mama was 19 when she conceived her child. If she’s telling the truth about having sex with Bieber, she can be charged with statutory rape. If convicted, she would be a sex-offender whose fitness to serve as a custodial parent could be in question, and (if DNA tests determined he is the father) Bieber could petition the court for custody of the baby boy who is now 3 months old.
Bieber had previously slammed casual sex, saying, “I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them.” Word from Justin’s camp is that he did not have sex with the woman, and does not have a clue who she is.
Yeater is asking the court to force him to pay child support. A court date is set for Dec. 15, at which time Bieber may be asked to submit to a DNA test. –kathleen cross
