Also during the 2011 season, new productions will be added to the repertory, including the world premiere of “Home” by hip-hop choreographer Rennie Harris and the company premiere of both Paul Taylor’s classic “Arden Court” and Ohad Naharin’s “Minus 16.” Live music will accompany “Journey,” “Takademe” (one of Battle’s first creations and a pivotal work in his career) and Alvin Ailey’s iconic masterpiece, “Revelations.”

Harris’ “Home” is a new work inspired by stories submitted to the “Fight HIV Your Way” contest for people living with or affected by HIV and is set to “a soul-lifting score of gospel house music.” It premiered on Dec. 1, World AIDS Day and also the anniversary of Alvin Ailey’s death 22 years ago.
