Dwight Arrington Myers, known as Heavy D, was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after collapsing at his Beverly Hills home. He died from complications with pneumonia. The Jamaican-born American was a rapper, performer, actor, and respected businessman having run Uptown Records and is credited with developing Mary J. Blige and hiring Sean”Diddy” Combs as intern.
