The entire world watched as various television networks brought the stars out in New York City! MTV, BET, ABC, NBC, and FOX all put on spectacular shows to bring us into the New Year as the  crystal ball with more than 30,000 lights descended at midnight in the Big Apple.

Lady Gaga and Mayor Michael Bloomberg led the crowd in the final-minute countdown of the famed crystal-paneled ball drop, and enjoyed a traditional slow dance as confetti flew from the sky.

BET’s 106& Party brought hip hop to the city. Artists such as Tyga, Meek Mill, Wale, B.O.B,  Young Jeezy, and Diggy Simmons blazed the stage. Other performances that led up to the new year’s countdown included Future, French Montana, 2chainz, Waka Flocka ,  Jeremih, MGK, Maino, Yellowolf, and Ace Hood.

Dick Clark’s New Years Rocking Eve with Ryan Seacrest took over Times Square. Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Fergie, and Carlos Santana kept millions of people on the streets of NYC dancing in the spots they had coveted hours, and some days prior to the show.

Above the crowds in the MTV station, Tyler Posey and Demi Lovato celebrated with a few performances by  Jason Derulo, Machine Gun Kelly, Mac Miller, J Cole, and Selena Gomez.

Other performances in NYC-  Phish at Madison Square Garden, Tony Bennet, Cee-Lo, and Drake.
