Jennifer Hudson is our dreamgirl. It wasn’t until she became a red carpet habitué that she realized that she was plus-sized. She shared in a magazine interview that in her Chicago hometown a “size 16 was normal.”


After giving birth to her son David, the Oscar-winning actress made a conscious decision to shed some weight and “set a good example for [her] son.”

As a Weight Watcher’s spokesperson, the actress-singer has lost a reported 80 pounds. She recently opened a weight-loss clinic in her hometown of Chicago to encourage other women to get fit.


Pros: It encourages portion control and slow and steady weight loss is achieved.

Cons: There’s a weekly fee and weekly weigh-ins are required. The slow weight loss may discourage you.
