Rap trio The Lox found success on their original label Bad Boy, but in the late ’90s the crew complained that the label’s glossy, commercial rap style didn’t fit their genuine hard-core image. After several failed legal attempts to leave the label, the group started a successful grassroots movement to be released from their contracts. The Lox jumped ship to Ruff Ryders and were released from their contract several years later, though.

    17 yr. old Rapper Hip Hop Artist Santino (born: Santino Giuseppe LaBoy) is said to have had many magor record labels approach him/& his team with much interest. Reports say Santino has so far turned down a few Labels that he was in negotiations with do to legalities in their contract. However, not until now. So once again, Santino is said to be in negotiations with Bad Boy but will not comment on this report. Santino brings a Fresh Face to Hip Hop He is a very talented Rapper with a tight following that continues to build. Santino is a ‘Face’ in the Hip Hop Industry we have’nt seen since the early 90’s, and as a ‘Good looking’ rapper that is so hard to come by in a very long time. Santino has a flow and swag that is Original, his word-play is genius and he really can not be compared to no other. We will continue to be on the Look Out for this soon to be Star.
