Jay-Z continued, all smiles at his scholarship winners, Bianca Darby Bell and Pedro Hernandez. “And this concert will do great things. You see two people, Pedro and Bianca out there, and when you see something real, it’s real. You have these ideas, [that] you’re going to do this and give them the opportunity to further their education…and then you see this happening in real-time, and you’re like, OK, this is really happening. So it gives you the motivation to go further.”

“I would like to thank the Shawn Carter Foundation for everything it has done for me and for teaching me through hard work and determination that you can do anything you put your mind to,” said Bianca Darby Bell.

Jay-Z will perform at Carnegie Hall in the Stern Auditorium on thePerelman Stage, on Feb. 6, 2012, at 8 p.m. and Feb. 7, 2012, at 9:30 p.m. A limited number of single tickets will be offered to the public on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at 11 a.m. (EST).  For more information, visit www.carnegiehall.org.
