The three people in the car with Jones have gone into hiding. Through a representative, all three stated that they are also traumatized by what they witnessed. Jones’ Facebook fan page, The Quad Squad, was taken down, as was Jones’ personal Facebook page hours before she went before the judge.
According to FBI statistics, 72 officers were accidentally killed in the United Stated in the line of duty in 2010. Of those 72, 45 died as a results of automobile accidents. Officer Thomas died at the scene.
