A new book aptly titled, O.J. Is Innocent and I Can Prove It, is making headlines this week for its claims that O. J. Simpson did not commit the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.
William C. Dear, a renowned private investigator, has released the controversial tome that points the finger, not at O.J., but at his son, Jason Simpson.
According to Dear, who’s been an investigator for over 45 years, O.J.’s son from a previous marriage was overlooked as a suspect despite the fact that he suffered from “intermittent rage disorder” and was on probation at the time of the murders. The investigator also claims to have the actual murder weapon in his possession; a hunting knife found in a storage unit previously owned by Jason.
Just before the murders, Dear claims that Jason assaulted an ex-boss with a knife and wrote in a diary that he was like “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” and liked to solve his problems “with a knife.” Dear claims that the young Simpson flew into a fit of rage after Brown missed a family dinner at a restaurant where he worked. He then went to confront her and ended up killing her and her friend, Ron Goldman, who was nearby. Dear also contends that O.J. began acting suspiciously because he was in a state of panic over his child.
Jason Simpson’s fingerprints and DNA were never tested in the case.
O.J. Is Innocent And I Can Prove It is in stores now.
O.J. is currently serving a 33-year sentence at Lovelock Correctional Center.
