Two men who went on a shooting spree against black men in Tulsa, Okla., are facing murder and hate crime charges.
As previously reported, Jake England, 19, and Alvin Watts, 32, were arrested in connection with the Easter shooting spree that left three people dead and two severely wounded. All five of the victims were black men from a predominantly black neighborhood.
Today, both England and Watts were charged with three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of shooting with intent to kill and five counts of malicious harassment. The malicious harassment charge amounts to a hate crime, alleging that the duo chose their victims based on race.
If found guilty both men could face the death penalty or life in prison.
