NBA's Metta World Peace Levels Harden — Intentional?

Metta World Peace wasn’t so peaceful during Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. MWP lost it late in the second quarter elbowing OKC forward James Harden in the head mid celebration. The incident happened so quick that it’s hard to really determine whether it was intentional. One thing is for sure, MWP showed no remorse early on, proceeding to run down the court celebrating. World Peace then decided he was going to square up with half the OKC roster when they tried to confront him about their injured teammate.

It seems that the Artest of old has resurfaced. Over the past few years, MWP (aka Ron Artest) has partially rehabilitated his reputation with various charitable endeavors. He was even awarded the 2011 NBA Citizenship Award. Metta was far different from the man who helped set off the infamous “Malice in the Palace” brawl in Detroit eight years ago.

Harden who was taken to the Thunder locker room immediately, underwent the NBA mandated concussion tests, and failed to return to the game. How many games Harden will miss due to the injury, if any, has yet to be determined.

Was MWP’s elbow intentional? Check out the video below to determine for yourself.
