Goodie Mob: Soul Food
Following in OutKast’s footsteps, Goodie Mob released their debut album Soul Food one year after the release of Southernplaylistic. The group’s mixture of spirituality, street knowledge and pro black ethos was unlike anything ever heard before in hip-hop. It was hip-hop’s version of the Civil Rights movement on wax.
