Jay-Z may have the benefit of time and hard-earned wisdom, but like any new father, he’s going to have to learn the ropes of being a dad. But luckily for Poppa Hov, veteran dad T.I. recently shared some fatherly advice for him.
During a recent interview with Fuse, the father of six, shared some parenting tips for Jay about how to raise his 4-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
“Little girls are going to judge men they meet in the future based off how their father treated them,” Tip shared. “You’ve got to be her first love, her first everything, so when she run[s] into nonsense in the street, then she’ll know, ‘Nah, my daddy would never do it like that, so this isn’t even worth my time or attention.’ ”
“Another piece of advice is enjoy the moments. Enjoy the moments because once they’re gone, they’re gone.” T.I. added.
And T.I.’s smile seemed to brighten when he brought up his young son, King, and recalled how adorable he was when he was a baby.
“King, when he was small, he had the fattest little cheeks. He just looked like a cute lil’ baby boy,” he recalled. “Then he started stretching out and getting long. … Now I need another baby. You miss those baby moments.”
Now, that’s just too sweet. And all praise to T.I. for trying to help Jay-Z be just as great as father to his daughter as he is to his own kids.
