Chris Brown Asks Fans to Stop Threatening Chrissy Teigen's Life

It looks like the drama over Chris Brown’s Billboard Music Awards performance just won’t end. After Brown dismissed some high-profile disses from P!nk and John Legend’s fiancée, Chrissy Teigen, for lip-syncing on stage, Brown is now trying to stop his fans from sending death threats to Teigen.

What exactly sent Team Breezy over the edge? Teigen’s tweet about Brown’s numerous violent outbursts.

“So excited to see Chris Brown! I love loud and surprising background fits of rage I can hear from the audience!” tweeted Teigen.

Afterwards, enraged Brown fans went on the attack and sent Teigen several inflammatory and downright vicious tweets.

And after retweeting some of the hateful tweets, Teigen posted a reply of her own.

“I’ve had comments ranging from ‘kill yourself you stupid HO’ to ‘gold digging c—t’ ‘get a f—king job,’ etc. because I don’t like him?… seriously. this isn’t your f—king job. You guys are too young for this s—t. too f—king young. stop being psychotic. be strong women. listen to opinions without spewing pure maliciousness…John [Legend] has gotten numerous comments about him needed to “leash” me or “control” me. FROM WOMEN. please stop this. What are you even doing this for? some good music and dancing? good god. DO BETTER,” Teigen fired back.

With things having clearly gone too far, Brown disrupted the Twitter melee and commanded his Team Breezy fans to lay off of Teigen.

“Team Breezy! Lets stop sending death threats!” Brown tweeted. “I know y’all bout that life but it’s the wrong message! Ur turning haters into victims!”

Legend also took to Twitter to defend his fiancée.

“Personally, I don’t think @chrissyteigen’s existence is pointless. Nor anyone else who dares criticize a performance. …Every artist has to be ok with the fact that some people won’t like their work. All critics aren’t ‘haters,’” he continued, aiming that last bit at Brown. “And don’t ever tell me to put my ‘b—ch on a leash,’ “he added, referencing the hateful messages he also received from angry Brown fans. “She’s a grown woman with her own mind and her own opinions and this is not 1950.”

It’s great that Brown told his fans to cease and desist, but, unfortunately, this isn’t the first time some overzealous fans have attacked the stars. Check out some other famous online attacks below. – nicholas robinson
