Black Soldiers Remembered on Memorial Day

The general received his commission in 1970 through the University of NotreDame ROTC program where he was honored as a distinguished graduate. President George W. Bush  appointed the Air Force general to the position of the State Department’s Ambassador at Large and Coordinator for Counter-terrorism.
