Describe your role as inspirational principal for The Master Communicator & Associates?

My role is to inspire, motivate, exhort and coach others to fulfill their communications dreams. From business communications to writing a fiction novel, what ever that looks like for the individual or entity, I help them “get er done.”

Have your goals changed since your book peaked at No. 5 on Amazon’s best-seller list?

My motives have never been self-centered, I sincerely want to help as many authors as possible get that book done and not go bankrupt in the process. If that means I have to be a best-selling author in order to get their attention, then so be it.

Why is it important for aspiring authors to read your book, Authorpreneurship: The Business of Writing?

This book is a comprehensive tool that will equip the aspiring author and the author who may be transitioning from conventional publishing to self-publishing. The book also has “how-to’s” from other successful authors who have made some pretty miraculous things happen by thinking out of the traditional publishing box. It’s not a repetition of the common familiar voice in the industry; it is a voice that allows you to realize your own personal vision for your book project.

As founder of the Authors Networking Summit, what new workshops can we look forward to seeing at the 2012 summit?

The Authors Networking Summit will be held in Houston this year and you can look forward to registering for workshops such as: Social Media 101 for Authors; How to Master the Art of Authorpreneurship; Financing Your Book Project on a Shoestring Budget; Whatever You Do Brand You; Networking for Authors; Establishing a Speaking Platform to Sell Your Book, Freelancing Is an Option in a Dynamic Economy; and How to Become an Amazon Best-Selling Author. Frank Underwood [actor Blair Underwood’s big brother] will also be one of the featured guests.

What other projects do you have coming up that our readers should know about?

We are running a contest which starts in July to determine who is “America’s Favorite Author.” The contest will be the people’s choice and open to traditional and self-published authors. I’m also doing a show called “America’s Favorite Authors” on the Kingdom View Network.
