John Forte

John Forte produced several hits for Wyclef Jean and The Fugees and also released a solo album before he was convicted of intent to distribute 5 kilos of cocaine in 2001. Forte was sentenced to 14 years in prison, but Russell Simmons, Carly Simon and Sen. Orrin Hatch lobbied on his behalf for early release. Forte was released in 2008 and pardoned by President George W. Bush.
