O.J. Simpson
During the 1973 season, Simpson became the first NFL player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a single season. And from 1972 to 1976, Simpson averaged 1,540 rushing yards per (14 game) season, 5.1 yards per carry, and he won the NFL rushing title four times. Unfortunately, for Simpson the only ring he ever saw was a wedding ring and we all know how that turned out; however, Simpson is still considered one of the NFL’s greatest running backs.
