Just weeks after Rihanna’s exes, Chris Brown and Drake got into high-profile nightclub brawl, the Barbadian singer now finds herself at the center of a violent media scandal, thanks to her bodyguard, who was recorded punching a paparazzo.
According to TMZ, who released the video, the incident happened on June 24, while Rihanna was leaving the Whiskey Mist nightclub in London. Paparazzi swirled around her car as she left the building and one paparazzo got too close for comfort, prompting her bodyguard to deck him smack dab in the jaw.
The punch knocked the photographer to the ground and it’s unclear whether he got up afterwards or not. But Rihanna was already in her car by the time he was hit.
We’re nearly certain that this story isn’t over just yet as it’s likely that charges could be pressed against Rihanna’s bodyguard thanks to the video evidence.
