Tom and Katie Divorcing

One of Hollywood’s ‘It’ couples is calling it quits today after five years of marriage. According to People Magazine, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have officially parted ways. “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” Holmes’s attorney Jonathan Wolfe told the publication. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”

In 2006 Holmes and the Hollywood heart-throb were wed in an Italian castle. Holmes, 33, and Cruise, 44, have a daughter Suri, 6.

In 2005  Cruise famously jumped up and down on the Oprah show couch while talking about Holmes. The couple was later nicknamed ‘TomKat’ in the media. -danielle canada
