Interscope Geffen A&M BET Awards 2012 After Party at Blvd 3 was the biggest and best after party following the BET Awards 2012. Hosted by Robin Thicke and Keishia Cole with music by DJ Mars, when rolling out staff made our way through the dizzying crowd, we could hear would-be partiers name dropping from the door in an attempt to get — but it wasn’t working. Rolling out, with VIP CD invite in-hand strolled past the clamoring masses.
As we entered the party we couldn’t help but notice the jam-packed area with the bubble bath fountain and two women dancing in it wearing skimpy, sexy swimsuits. And if you had VIP status you went straight up to the VIP banquet area surrounding the top of the venue. This is where the open bar and bottle popping in booths was going down. It was crowded with hollywood stars from Laz Alonso to “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” star Mimi Faust, to world famous DJs like DJ Clue. DJ Mars was rockin the ones and twos and kept the dance floor jumping. The night got really tuned up with Greg Street (V-103 Atlanta), Brian Dawson (K97 Raleigh-Durham, NC and Lorenzo “Ice T” Thomas (99Jamz Miami) hosting the Interscope Geffen A&M newest artist performance. Machine Gun Kelly proved that he is truly a ‘Wild Boy,’ by performing on the bar and hanging from the reels on the second floor all while still rapping.
