On the opening day of the 2012 conference, Spelman College’s Legacy of Leadership Awards Dinner recognized outstanding female leaders who have broken down barriers. The event, which was themed “Women Who Lead with Purpose”, included a special recognition for Monica Pearson, a veteran anchor of 37 years with WSB-TV. WSB-TV anchor Erin Coleman served as the evening’s mistress of ceremony.
The ladies of Spelman College entertained Pearson with a skit that highlighted her hairstyles over the decades. –yvette caslin
