The teenage daughter of a music icon is celebrating her mother’s birthday with a new tattoo in her honor. Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 19-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston, debuted her new ink Wednesday, Aug. 8 for all of her 93,000 Twitter followers to see. She wasn’t alone in the body art endeavor however, her adopted brother turned beau Nick Gordon also got a tattoo in his “mother’s” honor. Today would have been Houston’s 49th birthday. “On the way with MY booboo @nickdgordon :)heading2 #Inksomnia for our TATTSSS !”, wrote Bobbi Kris online. “This is for you mommy (: we love you, happy birthday our lady Xxo.”

And when the ink was complete, Bobbi Kris made sure to give fans an update. “Tat tat tatted YURP,” she wrote. “Now your truly ALWAYS with us mommy (: we love you @nickdgordon always&forever{<3}.” Both tattoos are etched on the pair’s wrists with the initials ‘WH’ in bold letters surrounded by doves.
