Redd Foxx
One of the most respected and influential comics in history, Redd Foxx made a name for himself in the stand-up world with his raunchy routines. During his prime, Redd became the star of the iconic sitcom, “Sanford & Son,” which ran successfully for six seasons on NBC. Redd also starred in a short-lived variety show, the “Sanford & Son” spin-off, “Sanford” and the TV series “The Royal Family.” Redd Foxx died tragically on Oct. 11, 1991, from a heart attack while rehearsing on the set of “The Royal Family.”
