Mayte Goes to Therapy
Mayte decides to go see a therapist in an effort to deal with her overwhelming emotions. While in session, Mayte opens about the difficulties of being friends with women who are all mothers and how Jessica’s “cavalier” way of discussing abortion is adding to her bubbling anger and pain. And when Mayte talks about the loss of her own kids, the therapist remarks that “You’re a mom who lost her child,” and Mayte cries tears of joy and sadness as she explains that she’s never been called a mom and never thought of herself as one.
