LL Cool J showed that he can still “Knock You Out” when a burglar had the dumb audacity to bust up into the rapper’s Los Angeles-area house in the middle of the night. While LL was there. Bad move number one.
Of course, James Todd Smith put those knuckles on the intruder, and the would-be burglar lost. Badly. Remember, the “Mama Said Knock You Out” rapper famously beat up Jamie Foxx on the set of the gritty football-based movie, Any Given Sunday. And if you remember his past video like “Knock You Out” and “Around the Way Girl,” the dude’s upper torso looks like it was carved out of marble. Needless to say, the 6-foot-3 rapper can defend himself quite adequately.
According to law enforcement sources, tmz.com reported, the suspect entered LL’s Los Angeles area house around 2 a.m. When LL heard some commotion downstairs, he rushed down to investigate and found the intruder. Bad news for the intruder.
Police insiders told the celebrity blog that the “NCIS Los Angeles” star knuckled up with the intruder and managed to detain the suspect until LAPD officers arrived a few minutes later to arrest him.
We’ll let you in a little secret: Mr. Smith emerged from the episode unharmed and unscathed, but the suspect suffered some very painful and apparent bruises. And then he was booked for burglary.
Not a good night at the office for the criminal. But thankfully, Smith’s wife and children are OK, thanks to LL.
This is why Ladies Love Cool James. Well, one of the reasons.
